Salzuflen Cocker Spaniels

A Salzuflen puppy is a friend for life

Welcome to the Salzuflen Cocker Spaniels web page.

Located on the far south coast of NSW, we have been breeding and showing cocker spaniels for just five years, however through our families have a long term association with the show ring.

Ian grew up breeding and showing miniature shorthaired dacshunds with his parents, which they imported from the UK with the family when they emigrated to southern Victoria more than 40 years ago. We carry on the Salzuflen prefix with our cockers today.

Lesley’s family bred and showed firstly Cocker Spaniels and later Pugs under her late mother’s Lochiang prefix, and established a long association with Syd and Edna Flynn from Lehearn Cocker Spaniels.

We always had at least one cocker spaniel in they yard, and when we decided to venture back into the show ring ourselves, Syd and Edna were only too happy to help and support us to establish our own kennels.

Today we own a small number of gold, black and parti-coloured cocker spaniels,  and our solid lines are carrying on the long established Lehearn lines.

We breed for both soundness and temperament – all our dogs are certified clear of PRA and PRN, and as far as possible, we attempt to provide you with a healthy, happy puppy who will become a devoted family member for the next 15 years, providing you and your family the many years of love and enjoyment our own cockers have given us.
